Ms. Agata, originally comes from Polish Gdynia, her student years she spent in Gdansk, in November 2020 she made one of the most important decisions in her life, she applied for a position of a physiotherapist specialist in Saudi Arabia. In 2022 we asked her to reflect on her decision and this is what she says…
Could you briefly tell us about your professional life?
After graduation in Poland and getting my master degree in Physiotherapy, I decided to go forward with my education and I enrolled for postgraduate studies in management in the medical sector to broaden my horizons and knowledge from this field. I know it’s just a small “step” in my career, but I am lucky, because I am willing to learn more, especially in Gulf countries.
Why did you want to work abroad, especially in Saudi Arabia?
Why? Well, many factors influenced my decision, generally I wanted to improve my English in daily use, to work in a multicultural environment, to live in a warm and sunny country, to test myself in this undiscovered and restricted country.
Why to Saudi Arabia? I heard many rumors about this country and I wanted to check “ on my skin” what is the truth, so that I can create my own opinion. Fortunately, all the rumors turned out to be just rumors.
What is more, discovering a bit of a still “wild” country is an amazing adventure!
When did you have the first thought about working in Saudi Arabia and why did you choose us, Go Global Care?
One boring day, I decided that I want to change my job and my country, I was looking for some new experience, I wanted to get out of my comfort zone, but still wanted to work in my profession.
Then I found a job offer by chance ( oh I don’t believe in coincidences 😉 ) and I realized why not to try?
After a few hours of looking and studying information about working in Saudi Arabia I found Go Global Care agency and decided that I’ll just ask about some details 😉

Which feelings did you have after the arrival to Saudi Arabia?
To be honest I have learnt not to expect, but my first impression was good, people at the airport were kind, the company’s driver was waiting for me, well I had no stress after arrival.
How are you feeling now in Saudi Arabia?
Now, after more than a year of staying in Saudi Arabia I am more experienced and confident. I feel very comfortable and safe. Even if I am traveling throughout Saudi Arabia I feel safe, people are kind and helpful. Of course there are sometimes communication barriers, usually in small cities/ villages, but that’s a new challenge to learn Arabic to communicate well 😉
How does your professional life look like at the clinic? Are you satisfied there?
I started my work as Physiotherapist Specialist, after a few months I got more responsibilities and duties and I’ve started doing patient’s assessments (testing, programming, controlling treatments).
Now after promotion I am preparing myself for a new role as Deputy of Rehabilitation Head, new responsibilities, new experience and role – can’t wait!
I am satisfied with my job now. I like changes, learning and trying new things that will make me more qualified in my field.
Of course there were many obstacles and difficulties on my pathway to be here, but it’s worth being patient, strong and determined to reach your goal!
